Tour Overview
From Vientiane to Luang Prabang – the long way round – this ride cuts through the wild heart of northern Laos – mountains,rivers and hidden histories. You carve along twisting forest trails, cross rivers on bamboo bridges and wind through remote tribal villages. You will visit the mysterious Plain of Jars and ride the old CIA runway at Long Tieng, once described as the most secret place on earth. Expect the lot: smooth tarmac, rugged dirt, winding forest trails and cool pine-forest descents. It ends on the water, with a slow Mekong cruise down to Luang Prabang. Add the food, the mix of cultures and some of the warmest welcomes in the region, and you have a very special trip.
