We are a British company operating supported motorcycle adventures in 13 countries across Asia, South America and Africa. Our team of motorcycle travel experts take care of all the planning, logistics, bikes and support, making it easy for you to experience bucket-list worthy motorcycle adventures in far-flung destinations.
We offer both on and off-road adventures, always using the most suitable bike for the job – from the Royal Enfield Himalayan for riding in the Himalayas, to the KTM 790 Adventure for Southern Africa’s gravel roads.
We’re an expert adventure operator, not simply a booking website, and our adventures are all unique to Ride Expeditions, carefully crafted by one of the company owners or destination managers, always in collaboration with expert locals.

ADVENTURE
It’s important to us that all of our trips are worthy of any adventurer’s bucket list, because, to quote an Indian road sign, “Life is not a rehearsal”.
We operate only in far-flung destinations. Destinations that your average tourist might steer away from. And in these destinations, we aim to get as far off the beaten track as possible, taking you out of your comfort zone, and immersing you in the authentic culture of the country.
It’s this kind of travel that inspired Ride Expeditions founder, Toby, to start this business in the first place, and it’s only this kind of travel that we will ever focus on.
QUALITY
This means proper pre-tour, on-tour and post-tour support, unique accommodation that adds to the experience, carefully crafted itineraries and well maintained motorcycles that are fit for purpose. Most importantly here though – we pay close attention to the little details that we know add up to make a big difference to your experience.
We’ve always understood how important these adventures are for people, and we understand that it is our responsibility to make them as good as they can possibly be. Now that’s a big responsibility and we take it very seriously!
SAFETY
We’re not playing tiddlywinks here – what we do is dangerous. But we do everything we can to mitigate against that danger to enable our guests and support teams to adventure safely.
We carry out thorough risk assessments and plan our routes accordingly. All of our tour managers hold Wilderness First Response qualifications. We employ the services of consulting doctors and have GPS trackers and satellite phones accompanying every tour (where it’s legal to do so). We also carry extensive medical kits on every tour – including stretchers and AEDs – and always have an Emergency Action Plan in place. It’s the stuff we hope we never need, but if we do, you’ll be glad it’s there.
As for the bikes, we always source the best available in-country, either owned by us or our business partners, or by a reputable rental provider. Our teams are trained to carry out a safety checklist on every single motorcycle every single day.
RESPONSIBLE TRAVEL
After building a house for an underprivileged family in Vietnam and studying Property Development at university, Ride Expeditions founder Toby Jacobs originally went to Cambodia with the goal of setting up a housing charity. He quickly learned, however, that this would have been incredibly difficult to achieve without huge financial backing. Instead, Ride Expeditions was born… But with this business, Toby has kept the original goal in mind…
Since day 1, Ride Expeditions has given back to the community, donating to a local Cambodian charity, M’Lop Tapang. And as of 2024, we will be donating part profits and raising awareness for other local charities around the world in the countries in which we operate our adventures.
