8-Day Self-Guided Road-Only Motorcycle Tour of the Garden Route

There are no unpaved sections on this tour. There is a very short 400m dirt road to one of the lodges that we stay at and it is possible but unlikely that if we need to detour we might take a detour that has a dirt road section but we'll do our best to avoid this.

Although this is a self-guided tour, you will have an experienced Ride Expeditions tour leader following along the route. There will be a GPS tracker on your bike as well as in the support truck, a 24-hour on-call doctor, and mechanical and medical equipment, including a satphone in the support truck. All your extra luggage will also be carried by the support vehicle

The support vehicle carries all of your main luggage, spare parts, water, snacks and further med kit and stretcher. Back at base, we have a consulting expedition doctor, ready to assist and advise telephonically in the case of a medical emergency. Additionally, we have access to GPS tracking and a satellite phone on this tour. Support is dependent on the size and needs of the tour. This means that each tour could have a different set of support staff.
