KTM VAT free promotion cuts 20% from off-road prices
If you thought the Husqvarna offer was good, KTM have matched it with their own 20% off offer in the UK which covers selected enduro and youth bikes, but not the motocross machines as in 2018. The Orange giant has slashed the prices on 11 machines in their line up, from the diminutive 50 cc crosser right up to the 500 Enduro donk in the KTM VAT free promotion.
Looks like it could be time to upgrade …
KTM ran a similar promotion last year between April and May, presumably to clear old stock before the release of the 2019 models. To start this massive discount deal in December suggests that the parent company has overestimated demand of both the Husqvarna and KTM brand and been left with more bikes in stock than they can have expected. The growing popularity of Beta may also be a factor, with many trail and enduros riders heading for the Italian brand in 2018.
But although this is a great deal for new buyers, it’s a bitter pill if you bought at full price before the promotion started. It’s also not great news if you are looking to sell your 2019 or 2018 bike, as this deal has just slashed your potential resale price – who’s going to buy a used bike if you can buy new at the same price? And don’t expect great trade-in values at the dealers either – price deals don’t help them either!
So the new prices are as below:
KTM EXC Enduro
250 EXC 2019 £6,541
300 EXC 2019 £6,749
250 EXC-F 2019 £6,833
350 EXC-F 2019 £7,041
450 EXC-F 2019 £7,124
500 EXC-F 2019 £7,208
KTM Minicycles
50 SX Mini 2019 £2,916
50 SX 2019 £2,916
65 SX 2019 £3,499
85 SX SW 2019 £4,166
85 SX BW 2019 £4,166
Just to be clear, this promotion is only at participating dealers in the UK, a list of which can be found here and runs until 31st March 2019, or until stocks last. Of course after that point, the UK’s current inability to sort out Brexit may mean that getting KTMs into the country in the first place could be substantially more difficult ….
Full details of the offer are on the KTM website, and again you can click on our link here
So what are you going to so with all that saved money? You could always plan an epic trail riding trip ….
