Hi, Fellow Adventurers!

It’s been a busy time of late… But not only with our tours currently on the go in Mongolia, India and Southern Africa. We’ve also been busy prepping for the UK’s biggest and best motorcycle festival – ABR. That’s right, it’s festival time!

ABR Festival Time

We cancelled our visit last year due to the arrival of Leo – the World’s greatest little man. Thankfully, his 1st birthday falls the weekend after ABR this year (yes, I have bought him a KTM balance for the occasion!), so we’ll be back at the festival in full swing… And we have some making up to do.

We love the ABR festival. They just do it right. The venue is beautiful, the trail is spot on, food & music is great, you can get involved in test riding the latest bikes, wander all the stands, hear stories from the big names… Anyone who’s anyone in the industry will be there. What’s not to like? It’s like a fairground for big biking kids.

Oh, and I’ve also been invited to do a talk in the Traveller’s Tent to share my knowledge about riding in the Himalayas! How exciting. In fairness, few people know the Indian Himalayas better than us… I’ve been riding and leading tours in these mountains for about a decade and Ride Expeditions lead over a hundred guests through the Himalayas every single year. So, I certainly have some handy tips for everyone – whether you want to join a tour or ride solo… The Himalayas can be an unforgiving place if you don’t go prepared!

I’ve been stuck in snow storms, nearly been killed by falling boulders, spent more time in Indian hospitals than I’d ever have liked, had to dance with local politics to keep the show running, re-routed entire tours last minute due to floods, navigated countless road closures… And had the most mind-blowing riding experiences along the way.
