Pillion riders are welcome to join these trips, provided the pilot is a highly experienced and competent motorcyclist. Keep in mind that some of these days cover great distances, and the ride can be tiring with a pillion.

Our tour leader, who is trained as a wilderness first response medic, rides at the front of the group (carrying a medical kit), and we have a support vehicle travelling behind the group. The support vehicle carries all of your main luggage, spare parts, water, snacks and further med kit. Back at base, we have a consulting expedition doctor, ready to assist and advise telephonically in the case of a medical emergency. Additionally, we have access to GPS tracking and a satellite phone on this tour. Support is dependent on the size and needs of the tour. This means that each tour could have a different set of support staff.

From the sunny mother city of Cape Town to the ‘Smoke That Thunders’ Victoria Falls, this laid-back ride has a flair for drama as you cross several borders. We ride from Cape Town in South Africa, across Namibia and Botswana, to finish at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and on the border of Zambia. 

You’ll meet incredible people, witness traditional and modern cultures living side by side, and stay in unique accommodation while enjoying warm African hospitality and heartwarming (or should we say, belly-warming) food on this experience-focussed two-wheel tour. 

Africa has a way of showing up when there’s a visitor – from incredible mountain ranges, passes that dip dramatically into gorgeous lush valleys, coastal roads and desert sands with wildlife dotting the pathways to those glorious African sunsets on safari.

One of our easier tours, this destination trip focuses on the incredible beauty of Southern Africa rather than packing challenges into the ride while taking you through the four African countries that make up the lower part of the map.
