Beyond Angkor

10-Day Adventure Motorcycle Tour of Cambodia | Jungle Temples and Tropical Paradise

From Phnom Penh, this route heads south to the coast before turning inland and winding its way north through jungle, mountains and remote countryside to Siem Reap. Along the way, youโ€™ll link hidden temples with a true tropical island escape, riding the best of Cambodiaโ€™s flowing mountain roads and most rewarding dirt tracks. Itโ€™s exhilarating adventure riding, without being extreme - a route that constantly shifts in terrain, pace and atmosphere, and never feels predictable.

Jungle Temples and Tropical Paradise

Tour Overview

This is Cambodia beyond the obvious. Not just Angkor, and not just off-road riding – but a properly designed journey through the countryโ€™s landscapes, culture, and contrasts. Starting in Phnom Penh, youโ€™ll leave the city quickly and ride south through quiet backroads and rural trails to the coast, before cutting inland into the forests and mountains that most travellers never reach.

The riding evolves day by day. Flowing dirt tracks give way to jungle trails through the Cardamom Mountains, with steep climbs, open sections, and remote linking routes between villages. Then, just as it should, the pace drops – with two nights on Koh Rong, a genuine tropical paradise of white sand, warm water and laid-back island life. Itโ€™s a standout contrast to the riding, and one of the highlights of the entire trip.

From there, the route pushes deeper into rural Cambodia, zigzagging north through ever-changing terrain. Youโ€™ll cross Tonle Sap by small local boat, ride through remote communities, and visit vast temple complexes hidden deep in the jungle – places where youโ€™ll often find yourself completely alone.

The journey ends in Siem Reap, arriving not just at the gateway to Angkor, but in one of Southeast Asiaโ€™s most rewarding cities. By this point, youโ€™ve experienced a huge cross-section of Cambodia – coast to jungle, mountains to temples – and seen a side of the country most never do.
