The guys on the 21st July Himalayan Escape tour were amazing. They were an incredible group to ride with and get to know.
We had great fun through the Himalayan Mountains, and braved some river crossings, even though two of the riders had never gone off-road, they wanted to take part and they mastered it! They had gotten engaged right before the tour and went to Agra and when they started with us were still buzzing with excitement. What a way to kick off an engagement.
The group faced the challenges that the Indian Roads and the Himalayan Mountains can throw at a person and, for the most part, we had incredible weather with riding conditions that were next to perfect. We mastered rivers, off-road sections, and sandy areas together.
The two Ians and Louise were brilliant. Ian with Louise on the back – Ian’s an incredible rider. They kind of did everything together. She barely got off the bike at all. She was on there and they were working their way through the nice little road to Nubra.
We were fortunate enough for Steven to celebrate his birthday and he even braved the bungee jump in Ladakh on his birthday, it’s a long way down. Well done, Steve!
So that was quite an experience for him!
All in all, we had brilliant weather with brilliant riding conditions and the tour itself was a blast. The group quickly became close and we loved the atmosphere on tour.
Ian, Louise, Ian, David, Christian, Michael, Geraint, Andrew, Athanasios, Lee, Leonie, Stephen, Tobias, Richard – it was brilliant riding in the Himalayan Mountains together.
