The only minor issue would be the final riding day as it felt a little rushed to be at Addo in time for the excursion. My preference would be another full day of riding on a slightly more exciting route, get to the accommodation in the evening, hand the bikes back, final dinner with the full team and then have the Addo excursion on the next day (if people choose to).

Aud and I cant thank you guys enough. This was a remarkable trip and everyone we have bored with the details of it have been commenting the same. We'd come away with you again, but my fear is how could the next trip live up to this one. You got this spot on. Thankyou.

Fantastic scenery - mountains, sea, woods, hills and just the right amount of off-road trails for me.

From the moment I made the first enquiry, to the last day of the tour, the organisation has been excellent.

Sure there was a hiccup with the bike at the beginning of the tour. However what an amazing experience. Definitely a bucket list ticked with this tour. The views are so amazing, photos and videos can’t do it justice. Riding through the canyon from Padua to Lamayuru where you have to keep stopping as the workers are drilling holes in the rock face, so they can blast the walls to make the road wider, was full of such amazing views. Then the views and the sense of achievement you get to the top of each high pass. Mother Nature was definitely on our side the day we got to the top of Umling La. The views were to die for. Just remember to get your breath before you try to get off your bike.

Overall experience was awesome! Danie and Lobo were excellent; everyone associated with Ride Expeditions was on point from my initial contact to the completion of the ride. I can't say enough good comments about how organized and thorough Ride Expeditions was in executing this ride.

Where do I begin?! Absolute trip of a lifetime is probably a good place! From start to finish the Ride Ex team were amazing. Everything we could have asked for was taken care of. The adventure tour landscape is a crowded market at the moment . The tour was well organised with attention to detail from both the office staff and representatives on the ground .What elevated this tour to ‘exceptional’ was the ever-presence of Justin ,who worked tirelessly ,interfacing between the guides ,drivers,mechanics ,local businesses and riders. Justin’s morning and evening briefings ( and occasional daytime updates) were delivered with good humour even when he was tired , hadn’t slept , or plans had to be altered . Justin was firm , but with a light touch , an impressive feat considering the age and demographic of the guys on the trip . He has an easy manner with everyone he interacts with and the positive experience we had on this trip was greatly enhanced by this very impressive chap . Some of the skill set that Justin possesses cannot be taught . He is a great asset to your organisation . Many thanks for the journey .

Hard to pick anything of substance that needs improving - was a thoroughly enjoyable and well run tour. First time I've ever done anything like this, thanks to Henk and Justin in particular for being so supportive.

Awesome! Loved it. Loved everything about it and all of the people involved in making it happen. You can tell when people love what they've created and love sharing it with you and that's what I felt on this trip. Once in a lifetime (or maybe not) experience, absolutely fantastic adventure, what more can i say. Justin and the team work endlessly to ensure we had a safe and fantastic time. The bikes were great, a little under powered on the road sections if i had to fault them but perfect on the mountain, off road, water and sand sections which is what matters on this trip. I would highly recommend this trip, and will definitely be looking to try one of the other destinations Ride Expeditions provide.

So well organised. The range of riding conditions and adventures was huge, and a lot of thought had clearly gone into ramping up to more challenging rides as the week went on without getting exhausted, and with some of the most enjoyable riding on the last days to cap it off

The Himalayan Escape 8 day ride with Ride Expeditions was by far better than I could have ever imagined. From the moment we were picked up from Leh Airport, we received a professional and courteous service. The initial hotel we stayed at in Leh for the start and end of the tour was excellent, with clean, modern rooms and great customer service. The food was also well above average at the hotel, which I was not expecting. The rest of the accommodation and food throughout the bike tour ranged from good to excellent. The Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram motorbikes that were provided for the tour were in good clean working order with minimal minor issues. The bikes were more than adequate for me and the conditions we rode on but if a larger person was to ride on a future tour, I’d suggest the Himalayan 450 would be a better option but does come with an extra cost. Justin and the crew were exceptional. They were very knowledgeable and tended to all our needs, requirements and we could not have wanted for anything more. My friend and I went on the tour and the rest of the group were of similar age and like minded. This in itself made the tour even more enjoyable with the amount of laughs and banter. The scenery and experiences throughout the tour was outstanding. From riding winding hairpins from the flats to throughout snow capped mountains on smooth and not so smooth bitumen roads and gravely sandy tracks. This was truly a memorable experience made possible by Ride Expeditions, not only due to their experience and professionalism but also the affordability of the tour.

Big thank you to all for still making me happy and letting me join in everything that was possible. One thing to complain about, the camp at the elephantplace, but that was solved very good by the crew as problems always are. Loved the homestay you picked as backup for the one we had to cancel. All in all, another wonderful trip. Only bad thing is that I must get my back fixed before I can risk another trip :-( Still a few left on my wishlist.

I so badly want to give you 5stars! It was definitely a trip of a life time. There were somme communication issues and schedule issues which made the entire trip feel very rushed and did not allow us to enjoy our accommodations or to see all of the things listed in the itinerary.

What an amazing itinerary. From the delights of Cape Town; the scale of Namibia; the animals; the people; the accommodation (top class); the culinary experience and the wonders of nature. Danie shared his immense knowledge and expertise and made us all feel like professionals

Another fabulous experience. There's no better way to see the authentic country than on the back of a motorbike. Ride Expeditions have put on another superb holiday and an experience of a lifetime.

The tour was professional and fun as expected. (I went on your Himalayas heights tour several years ago so I knew what to expect). The country and people were fab. Was spoiled a little for me as the days were very delayed by aspects out of Robs control. (Rider delays).

Absolutely great team as per our previous trip. Well organised and we were well looked after.

What can I say? EVERYTHING is taken care of. What impressed me the most was the organization of the tour. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and accommodations were all set up so we had no worries about what to do. Luggage was always in our room upon arrival or soon afterwards.

Amazing route. Your team (Danie, Llewellyn and Eddie) were outstanding. Danie puts his heart and soul into making sure each guest has an exceptional experience. You guys catered to our every need. Every single detail of the trip was well organized. We can't thank you enough.

This was booked as an enduro trip but it was far more suitable for big bikes; there was far too much road work for an enduro bike. I would have happily done all of it, including the Gobi dunes, on my 690 Enduro. On many of the high mileage days, particularly those with vast stretches of tarmac, then a small twin such as a Tenere would have been perfect. Just not a small enduro bike.

The trip was memorable and very different from anything else I've done which was the objective. Great to see another aspect of Asia. The trip showed us the vast variety Mongolia offered and to do it on 2 wheels was fantastic.

I joined Ride Expeditions for their February 2023 tour of Patagonia in Chile/Argentina. This was an epic bucket list trip and it delivered. For me the best part was the scenery, the second best was the people in the group, and third best was the riding itself. There are better roads/trails out there - but combined with the scenery and the people its hard to beat. Our guide Henk was awesome and the whole trip was well organized and a blast - highly recommended!

The expedition was excellent- above what I had expected. The motos were in excellent condition and the riding was superb. What set this trip apart for me was Henk setting the expectations for the pending days and always over delivering. From road conditions and scenery to border crossing and accommodations. The group always knew what to expect and most instances , I was pleasantly surprised. An outstanding job by Henk and Ian- I highly recommend RE- without reservation. I will continue to patronize these professionals

Truly wonderful Garden Tour!

Wow! Just returned from doing the Garden Tour in Cape Town, South Africa and I'm already missing it.

Firstly our tour guide Danie was fantastic in guiding us on our route and always happy and very knowledgeable.

The roads were amazing and the bike was a joy to ride. The hotels we stayed in each night were first class. The food was great and the group all got on and had a truly memorable time.

I've never crossed so many experiences off my bucket list as I have on this tour, and I can't wait to do another one. This for me was an epic adventure that I didn't want to end.

Wonderful experience. Great attention to detail. Very good communication . Equipment was in good shape. Great accommodations and great food. Dani And Bert were top-notch- gracious and friendly hosts, but also very professional, and competent. The trip ran like clockwork. We did not want to give the bikes back. Highly recommend.

Ride expeditions has everything. The expertise, the terrain knowledge, the staff and the hotels for an incredible adventure. I was in Southafrica (Sea to safari) and the experience was amazing, beautiful landscapes, delicious food good company and good routes to discover it on motorcycles.

Vietnam has been my second tour with ride expeditions, and it has been an unforgettable experience. From booking to the end of the tour everything was run perfectly.

Absolutely amazing! I did the 9-day Land of the Dragon tour in Vietnam; the level of support and service is second-to-none, the accommodations were great, and they even managed to organise the weather Huge shout out to the local support team for making everything run smoothly, and to Rob, the tour manager for making it such a fun trip!

Having ridden the Ride Expeditions Himalayan Heights tour two up in August 2022, my wife and I have just completed another awesome experience riding from Victoria Falls to Cape Town.
Ride Expeditions are class leaders in adventure motorcycling. They are not the cheapest provider, however they charge very few extras and provide great routes, guides, bikes, support truck, accommodation and food. The safety support backup includes 24 hour monitoring of each and every tour by a dedicated back office team who know and understand the local environment, the local authorities and the risks.
We are planning another adventure with them soon.

I went on the Mongolia dirt bike trip with Ride Expeditions in June 2024. It was EPIC! Whole crew was organized, mechanic were on point, food was much better than I anticipated, got to stay in cool yurts every night, the pace of riding was fast. Hank, our guide, is a pro and put up with all of our bad jokes and silly question. If you want an awesome and hassle free dirt bike adventure I can't recommend this trip enough, it was so fun.

Exemplary organization, new motorcycles, and trip management made the trip comfortable and pleasant for the riders, and the leading guide was excellent.

I just finished riding the Valley of the Gods with Ride Expeditions, and I cannot speak highly enough of my experience. I was nervous, never having done a ride like this before . With my previous road experience and some additional off road instruction that was recommended by the trip coordinator, I felt very comfortable with the riding the entire time. That said, it was an incredibly trilling and at times dangerous experience, but the professionalism and service provided by RE surpassed all expectations. They took care of every detail and were incredibly thoughtful of the riders the entire time.
From the moment we met and had our welcome dinner, to the moment we said our goodbyes, RE and our trip leader Robbo, had though of everything. Our bikes were in great shape and always kept so by the trip mechanic. One day I had a flat first thing in the morning, and one of the crew gave me his identical bike so I didn't miss a moment of riding, fixed the flat, and joined us at the next rest stop. The support van was always accessible for extra water, snacks, and even a ride if you happened to be feeling the effects of the altitude or just weren't feeling safe to be on the bike. While this wasn't necessary for me, I felt confident that should I need break or if the conditions were too much, I always had a safe alternative.
Food and accommodations were always as good as could be given the rugged terrain, and I enjoyed every moment. You will eat a lot of curry. Water and rehydration packets were plentiful, and our trip leader checked in with us regularly to ensure that we were fit to ride. They have physicians on call to give advice, and this just added to the confidence I felt with the safety of the riding environment (although we did have 4 doctors riding on this particular trip, including myself).
Lastly, the camaraderie generated amongst riders was truly special. My kid called it "trauma bonding", but I just call it making friends.
I believe that the the value of this trip was immeasurable, and I felt a little sadness when it came to an end. The only solution to that is to sign up for another trip with RE, something I plan to do soon!

I went to the Himalayas with Ride Expeditions. Let me say first that this vacation was a stretch for me. It really was the trip of a lifetime. The whole expedition was amazing. Our local guides were fanatastic. They took excellent care of the entire group and our bikes. Our guide from Ride Expeditions, Rob, is one of the finest humans I’ve ever had a chance to ride with. He took his responsibilities very seriously, and was also a great person to hang out with at multiple miles above sea level. When riding in as remote a region as we did, not everything is going to be perfect. It wasn’t. There were things to overcome including some road conditions, and the fact that many of us would have some kind of issue with our health (Delhi belly is not fun). Rob took great care of each person on our tour. I have told everyone who asks that I highly recommend Ride Expeditions, and would love to take another tour. It was not exactly a relaxing vacation. But that wasn’t what I signed up for. I signed up for an adventure, and it was perhaps the best of my life. I am happily married with two kids. Marrying her and making them are the two best things I’ve done with my life. This ride comes in third place. If you have the chance, go and take one of these rides.

Having been on a Ride Expeditions adventure in South Africa I had no hesitation in booking another adventure with them. This time was The Valley of The Gods Himalayan tour. From the moment I met the group, tour manager, and local guides, I knew I was in safe hands again. This truly was an ultimate adventure for me, with the stunning scenery, challenging riding, and great camaraderie, all making this an amazing trip of a lifetime. Rob, the tour manager, made everything seamless from the routes we rode, to sorting out the accommodation upon arrival. The local guides kept a good pace on the roads and the mechanic kept the bikes in top condition. I've made lasting friendships from this tour. I look forward to booking my next adventure with Ride Expeditions.

My Brother and I went on their Mongolian dirt bike tour. Can't say enough on how organized and proficient both our guide Henk and the support staff was. Trip of a lifetime, and would recommend Ride Expedition to anyone. Will definitely be booking another trip with them.

I did the Himalayan Escape. What a fantastic week. The riding and views were incredible, with some really adventurous riding with off road and water crossings. The tour leader set a relaxed but safe atmosphere for us to enjoy. The support crew also deserve a shout out for their hard work.
Will be back for another trip in the future

Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The tour was really well organised, the bikes were in good condition, the guides helpful and knowledgeable and the food/accommodation was excellent - and of course the location is beyond stunning, hard to put into words. Definitely not the cheapest tour out there, but you get what you pay for and the overall experience was very much worth the money. Thank you to the whole Ride Expeditions team for making this such a memorable experience.

What a great experience! I loved this trip, the places we stayed, ate and rode, the people on the RE team, the other guests, the hosts......everything. I got very fond of my Royal Enfield little thumper and I was amazed at just how robust they are. This was probably a once in a lifetime trip for me and it exceeded my expectations thanks to all the hard work done by the Ride Expeditions crew. If I do anything like it again it will be with these guys.

Ride Expeditions Mongolia June-July 2024!

Mongolia… what an unspoiled place. Vast grasslands, open skies, amazing people. One of the few places to truly roam free. Magical in a sense. And on a motorcycle… even better. Mile after mile of open riding, dirt, mud, water. We rode it all.

Our guides Nico, OG, and Moogii were off the charts with good times! Always had smiles and laughs no matter what the conditions! Ride Expeditions did a great job of making us feel like we had no worries and everything was taken care of. The routes were great, river crossings and open spaces. Many times we rode 6 bikes abreast. Himalayan Escape Tour

Ride Expeditions provide an excellent package and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
This trip may only be 5 days riding but with the altitude, dust and challenging roads we all felt it was the perfect duration. This area of India is beautiful, the scenery is stunning and the locals are very welcoming.
Booking process was friendly and professional, Megan answered every question promptly and provided useful info regarding Visas, etc.
Bikes were in excellent condition and perfectly suited to the road/trail conditions.
Accommodation and food were as good as it gets for the region with no complaints from anyone in our group.
Our guides and support team were excellent, Nono kept the pace fun and challenging, the more relaxed riders didn't have to worry as there are 2 sweeper riders at the rear making sure no one gets left behind.
A big thanks to Danie who took care of us all throughout the trip ensuring everyone had a great time.

My friends and I had a brilliant time in India with Danie and the team.. they ensured we had a safe journey, offered lots of support, and the accommodation and restaurants were spot on.
A far more pleasant and professional company than some others we have used previously.
I would definitely recommend this business, and we are looking to book another trip with them in 2025.

Went on the Mongolia Warrior Trip with Ride Expeditions in July 2024. Been on quite a few adventure motorcycle trips now all the way back to birth of the genre. They really have got better over the years, with more time of just riding and less, pretty much just following the guide, which is how it was in the beginning. First trip I went on many years ago, we were given paper maps and location we had to get to, this was pre-GPS. Those maps you were given would get wet and you spent time figuring out what it read in the creases of the paper. Ride Expeditions is a premier company and have the best guides and support. Way better and way more time to enjoy just the scenery and jumping over small rivers and avoiding stuff. There is self guided tours out there if you want the “old school” feel, but I prefer guided tours. Especially if you have a real job and 2 weeks to escape it. Nico, OG and Driver were like friends at the end. Good team and fun group ! Everything was easy and planned out really well, yet still had the adventure part. The thing about the world is the more trips you go on. The more you want to go
On. The people you ride with make each one so different. This was a super small group, which is different dynamic to large ones. I planning a few more adventures before I hang up my boots. Would go back to this company. Fancy Namibia and Laos…..weirdly RE have those….lol. Keep the rubber side down, brothers and sisters.

A fantastic adventure. Journeying through an amazing landscape with everyday bringing fresh awesome landscapes. The Ride team were excellent from beginning to end, and a great group of fellow travellers. Truly a trip not to be missed.

I’ve just had the best fortnight riding “Himalayan Heights” with the best tour leader Nico. He is always helpful and down for a laugh anytime which made the whole trip so much more fun and memorable. Thanks Nico you are a legend and thanks Ride Expeditions!

Just completed the Himalayan Heights tour - absolutely excellent in all respects, routes, accommodation and superb support from the local ride team. Special mention to the brilliant tour leader Nico, what a character! He made sure we were well looked after and the trip was a social as well as a motorcycling success.

Robbo our tour guide was very professional and a great rider. The routes were stunning and accommodation was varied and interesting. Food was plentiful and I ate too much every day. The bikes were perfect and gave me plenty of confidence off road.
The leader rider Tinku and support crew in the van worked very hard and kept us supplied with cold beer at the end of each day. Best of all we got a super bunch of guys to ride with. All 14 of us got along great and it was an incident free trip! Worth every penny....only complaint is all other bike trips cannot live up to this one now!

I’m a moderately seasoned rider and it was plenty challenging yet very safe to go and do this. The staff were fun and engaging, our leader Nico was the perfect fit for this kind of work. Highly recommend to anyone seeking an adventure that won’t be forgotten.

Did the valley of the gods tour and it was flat out amazing!!! Nico and his crew were incredible and even when we had a curve ball he handled it like a pro. Made a memory that will last me a lifetime with the best group of people ever.

Hello there, I have just arrived back in the UK from 'The Valley of the Gods' tour. A group of 12, our leader Don Nico supported us each to our individual capacities and needs, perfectly. The broader team lead us through the network of mountain roads and tracks maintaining our bikes perfectly at the end of every day. The accommodation and food were outstanding, far in excess of what I was expecting. I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone contemplating it. Basic confidence and experience riding a motorcycle required. You don't need to be some kind of motocross star like Nico ⭐

The tour was exceptionally well organised and run. literally all we had to do was ride the bikes and take on the trucks. Everything else just happened around us. The roads and especially the terrain was outstanding. The mountains never ended, bearing amazing scars, or rather statements of the phenomenal tectonic forces that put them there.
Danie was a wonderful, gregarious tour leader with incredible patience. Not to forget the local guides who helped him.
Unfortunately, like many 3rd world countries, the amount of plastic and rubbish in the environment is disturbing.

"Experience of a life time. The Tour was expertly run by passionate owners and staff. The Tough One (now Tumble in the Jungle) trip’s long days of off-road riding was the perfect way to explore Cambodia, and interact with the Khmer people. After every day of riding we settled into high quality western accommodations when available, before sharing tales of near wrecks, and personal accomplishments over dinner. Many times the restaurants we visited were spectacular venues with live performances and unreal views. It would be an incredible challenge to find similar quality restaurant experiences if attempting this trip independently. The services of a mechanic and medic kept our group and bikes running smoothly on this challenging trip. I arrived solo and left with many amazing friends, who I fortunately was able to share this experience with."

I’ve just returned from the valley of the gods. I can’t remember how many times I said wow and epic. I’ve ridden all over the world and this tops the lot. From the first contact with ride expeditions to being dropped off at the airport everything was perfect. A special mention to Nono and Nico. It takes a special type of person to lead a tour and these guys have so much passion and pride in thier jobs which made the trip even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be booking another tour with you guys. Thanks once again for such a memorable trip that will last a lifetime.

Had a perfect experience with Nico/Ride Expeditions! Everything was incredibly well organised and ran smoothly, which is no mean feat given the location! Nico was a brilliant ride leader and every stretch of road was as exciting as the last. Couldn’t recommend more!

I recently had the absolute pleasure of experiencing the Valley of the Gods ride through the Himalaya's with Ride and just as importantly the one and only, Don Nico! What a trip, a real once in a lifetime experience, and after extensive travel (100+ Countries) I've kinda experienced a lot. These guys know how to put on a trip and Nico is a superstar in every way, organised, considerate, patient, knowledgeable and safe. I loved how we were 'allowed to go' (as long as we did not break the group rules!) and treated like the experienced riders some of us are. I barely ride in groups but having had such both a relaxing time and an adrenaline pumping ride, thanks to Nico, I'll be back for more....Cambodia in Jan coming up I think,

"I had the good fortune to stumble across Ride Expeditions when I was looking for a motorcycle tour in Asia. I found their Ho Chi Minh trail tour and knew it for me. We made countless river crossings; by bike, boat, raft and rickety bridges. Took our bikes on long boats through a 7km river tunnel. Stayed in stunningly nature hotels (extremely comfortable) and camped on islands. Every day threw up something new and amazing, somehow Toby and his crew managed to keep the surprises coming. I'm a fussy old git and these guys easily exceeded my expectations."

"Could not have asked for a better crew to go with. From the amazing guides, mechanics and back up crew, well organised planning and pre trip info, you can tell that everyone really cared about the riders and that we all had an amazing trip. As a solo female biker I loved that I could ride with the group and didn't feel out of place. You do need some riding experience for this and they check before you book that they think you are actually able to do the trip, love that they don't just take any rider and don't just chase the dollar.

Crossed 30+ small and big rivers with the bike, Countless ferries, from big to so small it was one bike at the time, tent in the middle of Mekong, the bike in a canoe through a 7 km cave, a dozen or two crashes, a few broken bones, some flat tires, 3000 ton of dust, amazing food, Beer Lao, extremely bad homemade Lao whiskey, lot of kids waving their hands at us, the second campsite, most beautiful place I've seen, km and km and km and km of bumpy, hard, terrible dirt roads, Most fun part of the trip. I got 2500+ pictures, Lot of sad history, got a cluster bomb as a reminder, still thousands of bombs and mines out there.Still all the people is smiling and kind. The food.....
